What is a Reading Room?

A Christian Science Reading Room is both a bookstore and a quiet place for study and prayer. Individuals who actively study and practice Christian Science staff our Reading Room. They will be happy to answer your questions, assist you in exploring the resources of the Reading Room, or just be a quiet presence as you read, study, or pray on your own.

What’s available in the Reading Room?

The Holy Bible and a variety of Bible translations and reference books.

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy. This companion to the Bible is the Christian Science textbook and explains the healing method of Christian Science.

The Christian Science Monitor, a respected, unbiased source of news.

Christian Science weekly and monthly magazines, which include accounts of healing.

Bible lessons for daily study.

Music CD’s, biographies, and children’s books.
